Basic Spec's
Concrete Driveway
Basic Concrete Driveway, in the North West Cook and DuPage County's of IL, town's codes do very some. With thickness of concrete and thickness of the gravel.
The Most Common Spec's are the area excavated /dug out to 9 Inch in depth.
A 4" gravel base type CA#6 installed and compacted.
Framing with 2by 6's lumber with a depth of the concrete at 5 inches.
Best results to use a 6 Bag Mix / 4000 PSI Concrete Mix
A 6 bb 6 inch 10 gage wire mesh reinforcement in the privet side of the driveway. Not the Public side of the driveway or what's in the ROW will very by town.
